What's A Boneheaded Move? This is a boneheaded Move?

Twitter obtains Tweetdeck then promptly drops deck.ly, with no replacement?

That is all.

Facebook Page Class for Business Owners

So honored and excited to be invited by Entreprenuers That SOAR to teach an in-depth class on using Facebook Pages for Businesses.

Hope you’ll join us!

Social Media & Non-Profits via Lee Cruz

Last Social Media Sync Tuesday at The Grove, Lee Cruz facilitated a wonderful presentation and discussion about Using Social Media to Inform Greater New Haven About Your Non-Profit.

Enjoy!

The Recap Version of Social Media for Performers

Frank E. Brady and I break it down.

Social Media Panel Discussion Brought to you By Arts Council

What happens when you bring together artists, performers, organizations, social media artists in one room at the Grove.  Well check it out!  Today, Frank “Mr. Wonderful” Brady and talked about social media for performers.

Thanks to Shola Cole for bringing us all together, and for the thought-provoking questions that got everyone thinking about their personal brand, collaboration and advocacy.

And a big thanks to Jack at www.jack.nork.com for capturing it all on tape!

Kinda Quiet Lately…NOT REALLY

I’ve been kind of quiet on my own blog lately, but you can always follow my Twitter posts both on Twitter and on LinkedIn.

The silence was due to the plethora of projects I have been lucky enough to be involved in, and some of them are coming to fruition, while others are still in their seedling stage.

Speaking of Seedlings, one of the projects well on the way to Harvest is Friends of Edgewood Park’s quest for fruit trees for not only Edgewood Park, but all of New Haven.  Using primarily social media, we have been able to stay top-of-mind of hundreds of community members daily, who vote to keep us in the top 10 (now at #6), with an opportunity to get planting by the end of this month.

Saturday kicks off International Festival of Arts & Ideas, and SheSoSocial worked via The Grove and with AdTraqr to put together a QR Code Contest.  Go to an event, scan the code, be entered to win Fabulous Prizes.

Waiting to Taste the Bre.ad

I just got my Beta invite from bre.ad.  Very excited, and interested to see how it works, especially a couple of aspects that look great for non-profits.  I’ll be posting my thoughts soon.

In the meantime, here’s the site address:  www.bre.ad and the blog:  http://blog.bre.ad/

About:

Sixteen years in full-service marketing agency life, an adventurous spirit and the love of stories brought me SheSoSocial, LLC. Basically, I provide an online voice for Small Businesses and Non-Profit Organizations. Putting the Social in Social Media for a variety of clients as consultant and/or blogger, cultivating relationships for Claire’s Corner Copia, Fairhaven Furniture, Temple Physical Therapy, Mark A. Healey and Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists, my job is to bring and retain customers. Coming from a background in marketing -- from research to strategic implementation, the growth of social media is fascinating to me because it is a conversation changer, LITERALLY.

As of part of the team for Social Web CT and Social Web Week 2011, I get to share my passion of both teaching and learning with everyone from novices to experts in the social media field for business and community.

When not conversing on Twitter (@shesosocial), LinkedIn and Facebook, I can be found playing with my five boys (husband, sons, cats), gardening, dancing and entertaining family and friends with fun and food.
